My name is Michael Kayne. I am an East Texan. I have traveled the country as a welder and iron worker building and fixing industrial plants of all kinds. Some of my final jobs in that field were building massive air cleaning upgrades that use complex electrical systems to clean the particulates out of industrial waste air. This is very good for Earth, and something I am proud of. I finally decided to pursue a degree in chemistry at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. It has become the perfect choice. We are at the forefront of many industries. I hope my love of metals, chemistry and Earth can come together in a way that is passionate and coherent.

My name is Ha Hoang Tran and I come from Da Nang, Vietnam. My city was bound to a beautiful beach like Corpus Christi; that’s why when I look up for information about this city, I had a good feeling about it. I chose to pursue my degree in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi, so that I could experience different culture and make new friends from other countries but still feel connected to my hometown. Chemistry and Biology are both interesting in their own ways. While biology provides me the view of the living world, chemistry teaches me about the world around me in completely unique angle, about the matter making up my whole world.

- My name is Uyen Le, and I come from a small town in the middle of Vietnam. Science is the field that interests me, and Math and Chemistry are the academic subjects that I like best, that is why I decided to pursue bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Studying in a foreign country is a challenge. But it helps me to become more independent and get ready for my future. My goal after graduation is to become a researcher, working as environmental scientist or quality control scientist for a year, and then apply for my master’s degree in Chemistry in renowned graduate school.
